Entrepreneurship

What is an Entrepreneur?

In the simplest form, an entrepreneur is somebody who starts up a business in order to exploit an opportunity in the market.

As the digital seminar below highlights an entrepreneur must possess many different qualities and skills to make their idea a success. However no two entrepreneurs are the same and each individual will possess different strengths and weaknesses at various stages in their enterprising journey.

Types of Entrepreneurships

Entrepreneurs come in all shapes and sizes and there is no "one size fits all".  Broadly speaking however entrepreneurship falls into four main categories: business entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship, technology entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship.

Corporate Entrepreneurship

Technology Entrepreneurship

Social Entrepreneurship

Enterprise Education

In order to ensure our enterprise interventions and initiatives remain meaningful and relevant we are constantly conducting research with real world entrepreneurs and we are fully committed to sharing this knowledge with others.  The publications here explore the key challenges and barriers to effectively supporting enterprise in the fields of academia, industry and everyday entrepreneurship whilst providing recommendations for solutions to these challenges. Together they combine to form a new paradigm for enterprise education.
