Entrepreneurial Opportunity (SCQF Level 7)

Entrepreneurial Opportunities is delivered over 10 sessions and this module provides individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to scan and analyse their local environment with the aim of identifying potential business opportunities. This is achieved through the use of a range of tools, techniques and approaches which are used to investigate the economic environment in the participants' locality and identify industry areas that are currently experiencing growth and decline. This module acts as an introduction to enterprise and the importance of understanding the external economic environment. It also provides students with the opportunity to spot potential entrepreneurial opportunities. Upon completion of the module participants will have developed their entrepreneurial skill set and will have identified a number of potential business opportunities.

Business Accelerator (SCQF Level 8)

Business Accelerator is delivered over 10 sessions and is aimed at two groups of individuals.  Firstly those who are interested in starting their own business and are at the pre-start stage. Secondly the Module is also designed for individuals who will, it is hoped, become enterprising employees within the organisations which employ them.   This programme helps participants to develop the personal skills, qualities, attitudes, aptitudes and behaviours required to manage and develop a business such as: management skills, leadership, confidence, motivation, communication, organisational, social and technical skills whilst gaining the creative confidence needed to build and develop a successful business in today’s dynamic market place.  Upon completion of the module participants will have developed a credible business model which is desirable, feasible and viable and will also have developed a comprehensive market test plan designed to investigate the extent of commercial opportunity which their idea offers.

Enterprise Creation (SCQF Level 9)

prise Creation is delivered over 10 sessions and is aimed at individuals who fully intend to or who have started their own business and are at the early stage of the business development pipeline namely start up or early stage. The module is also designed for individuals who are interested in developing their entrepreneurial skills in order to become confident and enterprising decision makers able to cope with the ever changing business environment, who can recognise and develop opportunities and take responsibility and measured risks when required.  This is a very practical programme designed to give students a unique and exciting opportunity to apply their business knowledge and skills within the framework of the business start up process.  Upon completion of the module participants will have developed a finished, comprehensive, investor ready business plan.

Enterprise and New Media (SCQF Level 10)

Enterprise and New Media is delivered over 10 sessions and is aimed at individuals who have a good level of understanding of entrepreneurship and business models.  The module explores how physical business and entrepreneurship are digitally disrupted and transformed by new technological trends which see the world of physical business and enterprise challenged by social commerce.  Participants will be introduced to and learn how new digital, social and technological skill sets are required to engage with global markets that are, increasingly, integrating physical business and enterprise with digital and social media and innovations in virtual, augmented and mixed realities.  Upon completion of the module participants will have developed the skills and knowledge needed by the 21st Century entrepreneur to harness future technology for new business/product development and the techniques needed to penetrate and disrupt markets.
